Motion Triggering
Motion triggered lights have been around a while, primarily in industrial and office environments. What makes these sensors unique is their ability to work with smart homes.
Examples:
- Kitchen lights turn off when no motion is detected for 5 minutes.
- Hallway lights turn at 10% when motion is detected after 11pm.
- Turn on fish tank UV if light level is below 20 lumens during the day.

Security
Motion sensors can also be used to secure rooms or buildings when no one should be present.
Example:
- Turn on garden lights if motion detected in garage after midnight
- Alert phone if motion is detected in the office after 7pm.

Temperature Montoring
Modern smart motion sensors like Fibro also include temperature monitoring. Combine this with smart radiator valves and you can automate heating room by room.
Examples:
- If Guest Room temperature is below 19 degrees, turn on heating.
- If Living Room temperature is above 24 degrees, turn off heating.
